Government

Background

Traditionally, law enforcement utilized specialized mobile handheld devices create unimodal or multimodal biometric records (fingerprint or facial,) and transmit them wirelessly to a central AFIS.  The traditional approach works well.  However, it requires carrying a separate device for Live ID and also carry a cellphone for communication.

Industrial Biometrics new technology combines the two devices into one.   Now Police Officers need to only carry a cellphone for communication and Live Identification functions.
